What is not set out here. The insurance excess is confirmed in writing before you book. The rates for each season are published on the website, and the other amounts in this document are the ones that apply.
1. Purpose
These conditions govern the hire of the motorhome between the following parties:
- Hirer-out: Guillermo Pablo Pérez Sánchez, Spanish tax number (NIF) 76749603Y, of C/ Navío 38, 29130 Alhaurín de la Torre, Málaga (Spain).
- Hirer: the person identified as such in the contract for each booking.
By confirming a booking, the hirer declares that they know and accept these conditions.
2. Driver requirements
- A valid category B driving licence, recognised in Spain. No special licence is required: the vehicle does not exceed 3,500 kg maximum authorised mass.
- Minimum age of 25 and two years holding the licence. Both are checked at handover.
- Licences issued outside the European Union may additionally require an International Driving Permit.
- All drivers must be named in the contract. Only expressly authorised persons may drive; driving without authorisation leaves the hire outside the insurance cover.
- At handover you must present the driving licence, an identity document or passport, and a payment card in the hirer’s name.
3. Booking and payment
An enquiry sent from the website is not a booking. The booking is confirmed once the hirer-out accepts the dates in writing and the hirer pays an advance payment of 30% of the total. The balance is paid before handover, unless otherwise agreed.
The minimum hire period depends on the season: three nights in low and mid season, five over public holidays, seven in high season and ten from 1 to 23 August. The seasons, their dates and their rates are published on the website.
4. Security deposit
A security deposit of €1,000 is taken at handover and refunded at the end of the hire, once the vehicle has been checked and found to be in the same condition. The method of taking and refunding it is set out in the contract.
Deductions may be made from the deposit for: the insurance excess following a claim, uncovered damage, extraordinary cleaning, missing fuel, tank emptying, and traffic fines.
5. Mileage and fuel
Mileage is unlimited. There is no daily allowance and no charge for the kilometres driven.
The vehicle is handed over with a full tank and must be returned full. Otherwise the fuel will be charged together with a refuelling service fee.
6. Insurance and assistance
The vehicle has comprehensive insurance with an excess and roadside assistance. The excess is the maximum amount for which the hirer is liable in the event of an at-fault claim, and its value is stated in the contract.
Not covered, among other cases: damage to the upper part of the vehicle from striking overhead obstacles, damage to the underside from unsuitable tracks, damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, damage caused by an unauthorised driver, damage arising from prohibited uses, and tyre and glass damage where the policy so provides.
7. Handover and return
- Handover takes place in Málaga. Handover at Málaga airport or elsewhere can be arranged, on the terms and for the supplement stated in the quote.
- At handover we walk you through how the vehicle works and draw up a condition report with photographs, signed by both parties.
- The vehicle is returned at the agreed place, date and time. Unannounced delays incur the cost of an additional day’s hire and, where applicable, compensation for losses caused to later bookings.
- The vehicle is returned clean inside and with the grey and black water tanks emptied. If the tanks come back full, a €50 charge applies. If the interior needs cleaning beyond the usual turnaround, €90.
8. Use of the vehicle
The following are prohibited:
- Smoking inside the vehicle.
- Exceeding the certified number of seats, whether for travelling or for sleeping.
- Using the vehicle for competitions, for the paid carriage of people or goods, or subletting it.
- Driving on tracks, beaches, unsurfaced roads or routes unsuitable for the vehicle.
- Towing other vehicles.
- Carrying animals without having told us when booking.
Pets. Pets are welcome. Just tell us when you book. A cleaning supplement of €50 per hire applies.
The hirer is responsible for complying with traffic law and with local parking and overnight-stay rules. Fines notified afterwards will be passed on, together with an administration fee.
9. Travel abroad
Use of the vehicle is authorised throughout Europe. When booking, the hirer states which countries they plan to drive through, so that these are recorded in the contract together with the scope of the insurance and the assistance. Travel outside Europe requires the prior written authorisation of the hirer-out.
10. Breakdowns and incidents
In the event of any breakdown, accident or incident, the hirer must notify the hirer-out immediately and follow their instructions. In an accident involving third parties, a European accident statement must be completed and, if anyone is injured or there is disagreement, the authorities must be called.
Repairs may not be arranged independently without the prior consent of the hirer-out.
11. Cancellations
Cancellations must be notified in writing. Depending on the notice given, the amount retained is:

If the hirer-out is unable to hand over the vehicle for reasons attributable to them, all sums paid will be refunded in full, with no further compensation payable.
12. Right of withdrawal
Under article 103(l) of the Spanish consolidated Consumers and Users Act, vehicle hire contracts with a specific performance date are excluded from the right of withdrawal. The cancellation terms in the previous section apply instead.
13. Data protection
The processing of personal data associated with the hire is described in the Privacy policy.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These conditions are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, and where consumer legislation so permits, the parties submit to the courts of the hirer-out’s domicile.
